The Writer Behind the Words
I wasn’t supposed to become a writer. I grew up with learning disabilities, and writing did not come easily to me. But I loved stories, so I learned the craft piece by piece. That eventually became my career.
Today, I’m an award-winning author, journalist, screenwriter and ghostwriter with more than 15 years of professional writing experience. I’ve written fiction and nonfiction, worked on dozens of life stories, and helped people turn complex experiences and ideas into books that are clear, compelling, and worth reading.
My own books include The Secret to Writing Your First Book and The Quantum Writer. I’m also an Amazon bestselling author, and my work in film includes Neutral Territory, an award-winning feature film.
My writing has also reached large audiences online. I’ve written articles that have gone viral, contributed to publications including Forbes, Entrepreneur, and HackerNoon, and ghostwritten newsletters that, at one point, outperformed newsletters from some of the most recognizable names in business, including Bill Gates and Richard Branson.
Every Story Deserves to Be Told
Some of the work I’m most proud of, however, doesn’t carry my name on the cover. As a ghostwriter, I’ve had the privilege of helping people tell deeply personal stories about their lives, careers, families, struggles, and accomplishments. One of those books was later presented in the House of Commons and the provincial legislature.
That work has reinforced something I’ve come to believe strongly: Most people underestimate the value of their own stories. They remember the milestones, but often overlook the moments that connect us all and make us feel less alone—the conversation, decision, failure, relationship, or turning point that actually changed the direction of their lives.
That’s why, alongside my own writing and ghostwriting work, I now spend part of my time helping other people write their books through workshops, teaching, and hosting writing communities.
For me, the work has always come back to the same thing: finding the story that matters and telling it well.
